WALL TOWNSHIP — A Jackson woman was killed Friday morning when her car ran off the side of the road and flipped over in a crash that shut down the highway for two hours in Wall Township.

Susan Parker, 69, was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-car crash on Route 138 in front of the I.B.E.W Local 400 Union Hall where her car came to a stop after running off the road, said Wall Township police Lt. Chad Clark.

Her car then hit a raised grass berm, which caused the vehicle to flip before it landed on the driver’s side facing west on the front lawn of the union hall at 3301 Route 138, he said.
