You might expect Leron Lynch to believe in his grandson Marshawn. Especially just before the All-Pro running back’s debut with his hometown Oakland Raiders.
Still, smiles might follow anyone who sees his show of support for Marshawn Lynch in an interview Saturday afternoon ahead of the Raiders’ preseason game at the Cardinals.
Asked by Del Rogers of KCRA if Beast Mode has anything left in the tank, Marshawn’s grandfather replied, “Plenty.”
“He’s got plenty (left),” Leron Lynch continued. “Plenty. He’s got plenty of gas. He’s ready to go. He’s been working out since he took off the whole year. He’s been working out every day.”

Rogers also inquired about how Lynch reacted to Marshawn coming out of retirement to join the Raiders.

“I wasn’t surprised. I knew he as coming back,” Leron Lynch said. “It was just a matter of time.”
It makes sense that Leron Lynch would know such things, even just as Marshawn’s grandfather. However, his interest in Marshawn’s football career back to his Pop Warner days — when he was reportedly the one to suggest Marshawn play running back.
