Pair burnt man with blowtorch, put fish hook is mouth and robbed him in Atlantic City apartment, cops say

A woman accused of killing a man with a coffee mug in Hudson County more than six months ago has been indicted.

Two men were arrested after holding a man against his will in Atlantic City, robbing him and burning his feet with a blowtorch, authorities said.

Those three are among a group of people either charged with, indicted for, convicted of or sentenced in a wide array of crimes that made news across New Jersey in the past week.

The 55-year-old West New York woman indicted in the coffee mug killing is charged with manslaughter, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. She allegedly struck the 63-year-old man in the head and he died three days later.
The 36-year-old New York man burned with a blowtorch and robbed of about $700 also had a fish hook stuffed in his mouth before he escaped, Atlantic City police said. Police are looking for a third suspect.
A 33-year-old man has been charged with sexually assaulting two children and telling them he had a gun during a burglary, State Police said. Craig Lassiter, 33, of Middletown, New York, eluded police responding to the scene and was captured four days later, authorities said.
A handyman accused of stealing more than $239,000 in comic books and comic book artwork from the Sparta home of a Marvel executive was arrested in New York City. The 64-year-old Brooklyn resident is charged with burglary and theft.
