It looks like Jeff Lynne and Electric Light Orchestra is coming to the Bay Area in 2018.

And it appears that the Rock and Roll Hall of Act band will be performing at Oracle Arena in Oakland.


The local Live Nation outpost (@LiveNationSF) sent a Tweet on Nov. 9 that put big smiles on Bay Area ELO fans. It simply read, “Landing soon…” It also showed a graphic of the famed ELO spaceship cruising through space, to the awesome track “Don’t Bring Me Down.”

At, you’ll see mention of “Live 2018” and a place to sign up (with your name and email) to get more information as it becomes available.


Live Nation followed up on Nov. 10 with another tweet, asking “Where will the ship land?”

That’s a good question. And, again, it appears the answer is in Oakland.

The reason being is that Oracle Arena also tweeted out something very interesting yesterday. It was another “Landing soon” reference to the band.
