What “Strange Magic” is this, you say? Well, thankfully, it’s all true.
Jeff Lynne’s ELO is indeed launching its first U.S. tour in over 30 years. And the trek kicks off in Oakland.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act, which is responsible for some of the best songs in the history of popular music, will finally greet Bay Area fans on Aug. 2.

The 10-city tour also includes dates in Los Angeles and New York. The full itinerary is listed below.
“Our Audiences are amazing,” Lynne said in the tour news release. “It’s like they’re in the group. We can’t wait to play for them again.”
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Nov. 17, www.ticketmaster.com.
There is a presale for Amercian Express card members, which runs 10 a.m. Nov. 15 to 10 p.m. Nov. 16. Also, the Live Nation presale starts Nov. 16.
