NEW YORK — The Yankees had said third baseman Brandon Drury has been dealing for a long time with migraines and how they have hurt his eyesight.

Still, it was a surprise when Drury told reporters he’s gone to the plate with blurred vision. And how often he’s done it.

“All the time,” Drury said in the Yankees’ clubhouse.

For the first time since going on the disabled list a week ago, Drury, 25, detailed on Monday the extent of the problems he mostly hid from everyone until they finally became too much.

“It’s something I’ve been battling for a while. It’s not going to happen overnight but hopefully with all the stuff we’re doing we can figure it out and I can get back out there,” he said before the team faced the Marlins at Yankee Stadium.

Drury said the headaches and vision problems have been a problem for quite some time, but he hinted that they’ve been also been a constant. Drury said the pain comes when he ramps up his physical activity.

Doctors have prescribed an anti-inflammatory to Drury, who said he didn’t know the name of the drug off his head.

He added that he’s still undergoing tests and that he’s awaiting results from other test.

He’s not scared, though.

“Honestly, I’m actually excited to figure out what’s going on,” he said. “I’ve been dealing with this for a while and I want nothing more than to go out there and play baseball with clear vision and a clear head, and be able to go help this team win ballgames.”
