Yeah, we get it, the summer season is here, at least in spirit, but the weather feels like it’s mid-March. But look at the bright side, it’s not 108 degrees in the shade. The grass on all our lovely hills is (mostly) still green. And fun stuff is busting out all over the Bay Area. Here are seven ways to have a blast this weekend.

1 GO FORTH: And get ye to a festival

What’s your pleasure? A good old-fashioned county fair? A dazzling and creative DIY celebration, complete with wonderfully wacky gadgets (aka the Maker Faire)? 2 SAVOR: Polkalicious German food

Mmm, schnitzel, bratwurst and brews — who can resist? San Francisco’s venerable Schroeder’s, which opened in 1893 (!!), is celebrating the big 125 this Saturday with a “Brew Haha” bash that includes all-you-can-eat deliciousness and live music by Polkalicious. Go celebrate there, then keep that gemütlichkeit flowing at one of the Bay Area’s other awesome German restaurants and beer gardens. Here are five of our faves. Prost!
