Ken Daneyko has been skating on his own in preparation to play in the Hockey Hall of Fame game with other former Devils.
TORONTO — Ken Daneyko still has it.
The Devils’ all-time leader in games played hit the ice on his own at Scotiabank Arena on Thursday and Friday, getting some skating in while preparing to play in Sunday’s Hockey Hall of Fame Legends Game before longtime teammate Martin Brodeur is inducted into the Hall of Fame on Monday.
Mr. Devil will be reunited with some of his former teammates during the game, including the three of the four players who also have their numbers retired by the Devils.
Along with Daneyko and Brodeur, Scott Stevens and Scott Niedermayer will suit up for the game. The only former Devil with his numer retired who will not play in the game is Patrik Elias.
