Walk Off the Earth is coming to the Badlands AMP near Drumheller this summer.

The Juno-winning Canadian rock band will be joined Aug. 24 by The Static Shift, the precocious Calgary blues rock band that was first brought to national attention on CTV’s The Launch.

“If you’ve never been to a Badlands AMP concert, this is a chance for you to bring the whole family to this all-ages show and experience the natural beauty of our amphitheatre,” said Badlands AMP executive director Vance Neudorf.

Walk Off the Earth have been dealing with the loss of band member Mike “Beard Guy” Taylor, who died from natural causes in December 2018. A January memorial concert in Walk Off the Earth’s hometown of Burlington, Ont., featured Scott Helman and members of the Barenaked Ladies.

The 2,500-seat Badlands theatre and concert venue will also feature a concert by Jann Arden on Aug. 10 as well as the annual Badlands Passion Play July 5-21.

Wall Off the Earth performs on Aug. 24 at the Badlands AMP; tickets are $39 to $69 and are on sale at
