Demi Lovato Honors America

Demi Lovato has faced an intense sobriety battle, but she is well aware that she is not alone.

She has taken to social media to mourn the sudden and tragic loss of her friend, Tommy T.

As she grieves his passing, she reminds her fans and followers that addiction is a terrible disease that has claimed yet another beautiful life.

“Addiction is NO joke,” Demi writes in her Instagram Stories.

She continues: “heaven gained this beautiful angel last night because of that terrible disease.”

Along with her words, she includes a photo of Tommy.

“I’m crushed,” Demi expresses. “And will always miss you @sirtruss.”

She then tells her followers: “If you or someone you know is struggling please know it’s okay to ask for help.”

“Devastated,” Demi writes in another post to her Instagram Stories.

She encourages her fans and followers: “Please hold your loved ones tight.”

“Tell them they are special,” Demi advises. “And that you love them,”

“Make sure they know it,” she suggests.

Demi’s post concludes: “RIP to my boo @sirtruss”

Tommy T was also mourned by other loved ones, including his friend Gabe.

“You were like a brother to me,” Gabe wrote. “You made me smile when I was down, you always helped me out whenever.”

“You truly cared about me,” he added. “And you gave us all laughter.”

“I remember last week we were talking about life goals,” Gabe recalls in his tribute.

“We always talked about things that mattered,” he added. “And how we strive to become better versions of ourselves.”

Gabe concluded: “We will all miss you Tommy. Rest in paradise.”

Addiction and its potentially fatal perils are no strangers to Demi’s life.

The beloved singer and actress has battled with addiction more than once.

Last year, after more than half a decade of sobriety, she relapsed and began consorting with the wrong people.
