Michigan’s football barely remains in AP Top-25 after the loss of Oklahoma
The first university football weekend offered results that would surely shake the classifications partly because many classified teams played with each other. But possibly the second week created more fireworks with massive discomfort and bursts.
The greatest confrontation of the week, Michigan’s Wolverines against the Oklahoma Sooners, ended in Michigan’s first defeat. As a result, Oklahoma saw the greatest impulse of any team in the ranking, jumping to number 13. The Wolverines barely stayed inside the ranking, reaching number 23, eight places lower than last week.
Around the Big Ten, most programs managed businesses with relative ease. Ohio State and Penn State excluded their FCS opponents, Illinois had a late impulse to defeat Duke in a rigid confrontation of the road, Indiana easily won against Kennew State, and Oregon had the greatest victory of the week, exploding Oklahoma State, 66-3. Three of the four best teams in the country, according to the AP, are teams of the Big Ten conference.
