The all -terrain of England announces the rest of the red ball cryket
The all -terrain of England, Jamie Overton, has announced that he will take an indefinite rest of the red ball format.
In a statement from the Cricket Board of England and Wales (ECB), Overton said: “After a great thought, I have decided to take an indefinite rest of the red ball cryket.
He added: “The Red First Class Cricket has provided the basis for my professional career and has been the entrance door to every opportunity that I have had in the game so far.
“It is where I learned the game, and fed the goals and ambitions that have taken me for so long.
“However, at this stage of my career, with the demands of Cricket in a 12 -month calendar, it is no longer possible to fully commit to all formats at all levels, both physically and mentally.
